3rd Documentary source

3. For my third source, I decided to ask a close friend of mine about what kind of job does he do inside a  bag factory. His name is Gerardo Quiroz and I met him a long time ago in Mexico. He is the reason I am currently living here. He is the reason why I am currently enrolled in a school like this one and because of that, I will always consider him a close friend and even a family member of mine.  He has lived here on Indiana for over twenty years and has managed to set a good life here. Some of the questions I would ask would be:

How long have you been working at your factory?

Ask on detailed the process of how they produce bags (What do you do at your job?)

Do you like it?

What is the best part of this job?

The worst?

Have you yourself considered other job possibilities?

Has there been big struggles with this kind of job?

How important is your role in this factory?

Do you see yourself here in a far future?

What is you inspiration everyday to wake up at 5am and go do what you do five days a week?

2. I chose a person I knew when I got here, to Indiana, for the first time seven years ago. Her name is Angelica Zamora and she is the proud owner of her private business "Imagen Latina," A beauty Salon. The reason I know her is because my mom currently works with her as a hairstylist. Angelica helped my mom by giving her a position along side her a little after my mom just got her from Mexico. Today, her business is strong in the town of Goshen. Some of the questions I would ask her would be:

When did you opened your business?

How many people on average go to the salon on a day?

How did you managed to open you business?

Did you picture yourself in this current situation a long time ago?

What has been the best part of this business?

What has been the worst?

What was your inspiration to do what you do today?

Do you like what you do? Do you enjoy doing the same things every day?

Did you managed to accomplish this by yourself? Who was there to back you up with this project?

Where do you see yourself in a far future?

 1. For the first person I decided to interview was a counselor who works here on IUSB. Her name is Cynthia Murphy and she has worked as a counselor at IUSB for more than ten years. Her job is to help students on campus with any doubt they have in terms of financial aid, events, and classes in general. She also is a person who encourages students from various parts of the world (specially the Latino community) to keep a career and stay in school in order to obtain a proper major in order to find a job. Some of the questions I would ask her would be:

How long have you been with IUSB?

How did you found out that you wanted to help students to achieve a career?

Could you tell us approximately how many people have you helped in your career?

To you, What is the best part of your job?

Will you be willing to it for the rest of your life?

What kind of activities do you find yourself most involved into?

Do you remember the first time you helped someone the way you do now on a daily basis?

Is there a specific reason why you help the Latino community the most?

What is the most common reason a student looks for you?

Where do you see yourself in a far future? Will you be doing what you do today?
